This video demonstrates the ability of FlexSim Simulation software to model different types of machines such as ABB’s palletizer robot, the IRB 660

Within the FlexSim toolbox there is a generic robot that can be used to model different types of systems, In this case the robot has been customized to look and behave like the IRB660.

It took less than a day from the original object to model this IRB 660 (Using 3D shapes from ABB public server). The true OpenGl environment was used to render the robot scene for a more realistic looking finish.

The advantage of using FlexSim for modeling robotic systems is its advanced ability to build entire production lines, or factories, with the ability to see bottlenecks in processes, and determine the effect of product changeovers or simulated breakdowns.
