This clip shows a Kawasaki palletising robot fitted with a JMP Engineering gripper that has the capacity to palletise boxes of bottled water directly on to slip sheets.

A roller conveyer delivers the pre-packaged and sealed cartons of bottled water; the JMP gripper first adheres to a slip sheet and lays it on the belted conveyer, then the gripper collects the cartons and easily creates a variety of stack configurations, ensuring additional security of the product.

The loaded sheets travel along a belted conveyer and are shrink wrapped on a turntable and can then be directly loaded into sea freight containers.

The bonus of this effective non-pallet packaging includes minimal wasted space and in turn lower transport and distribution costs for the manufacturer.
