At the opening ceremony off the Hannover Messe 2010 held on Sunday 18 April, an ABB robot created a unique Industrial Symphony for all the invited guests.

 

The robot percussionist was accompanied in its performance by a real cellist who commented the industrial robot is a congenial partner and dominated his instruments with some virtuosity.

 

The opening ceremony performance was organised in cooperation with the Technical University of Dortmund specialists in robot technology from ABB Robotics in Germany.

 

The robot cellist played in harmony together to create a unique audio-visual Industrial Symphony and provide a very innovative way to display the interactions possible between man and machine.

 

The ABB group was presented at the Hannover Messe under the theme We make climate protection possible, in Hall 11, Stand A35. On display, in addition to robots, were innovative products and systems that make an important contribution to climate protection by provide greater energy efficiency and improving industrial productivity.
