KUKA Robotics to reveal the revolution in the robotic packaging and palletizing at PACK EXPO 2010!
The KUKA Revolution is the result of a collaboration between KUKA Robotics and Rockwell Automation allowing the KUKA PA series robots to be controlled by the ControlLogix programmable automation controller. Customers have been able to track developments of the KUKA Revolution through www.kukarevolution.com a website and viral video campaign established in correlation to the new technology launch at PackExpo.
The KUKA Revolution technology is an open architecture system requiring only one programming environment and one programmable automation controller for an entire machine control of the KUKA PA robot line. Leveraging the Rockwell Automation Encompass Product Referencing program, KUKA utilizes RSLogixTM 5000 and ControlLogix to create their revolutionary system providing greater productivity gains across the life cycle of a machine, simplification of the automation architecture through standardization of control components all the while reducing companys overall footprint and providing a familiar user-machine interface.
The unified controller will be present at KUKA (booth # N-4641) and partners, Pearson Packaging Systems (booth # S-2206) and Intelligrated (booth # S-2266), booths at the show. Through joint efforts, the companies have created a Revolution Daily Giveaway offering attendees a chance to win an iPad by visiting all three participating exhibitor booths. A punch card, available at each participating booth location and printable at www.kukarevolution.com, allows attendees to get the card punched by all three exhibitors to be entered into the giveaway.
KUKA Robotics in-booth robotic demonstrations will also feature a new and innovative customer-solution inspired low cost palletizer designed and supplied by KUKA Robotics 2010 System Partner of the Year FleetwoodGoldcoWyard AMBEC (FGWA a Barry Wehmiller Company). The low cost palletizer is called the FleetwoodGoldcoWyard EcoPal Robotic Case Palletizer. The EcoPal showcases a KR 100 PA in a complete low cost palletizing solution, featuring a small foot print with ease of use and set-up with low maintenance. The EcoPal allows for variability in case sizes and one case separating stop at the in-feed case conveyor.
The powerfully quick KR 180 PA palletizing robot will be displayed along with the newly introduced Bag Tech software, a program developed as a simple operator interface for bag palletizing applications. With a focus on ease-of-use, Bag Tech, which requires no external pc, offers a user-friendly environment for the set-up and operation of high speed bag palletizing applications. The KR 700 PA, the fastest palletizer in its payload class, with its 700kg payload will showcase strength and agility in a simulated traditional wine barrel handling demonstration.
The KUKA Robotics System Partner network is designed to mutually benefit each organizations users by extending the way customers can acquire tailored solutions with the major competitive and technological advantage of high precision KUKA robots. The KUKA Robotics System Partner Network includes experienced OEM machine builders, system providers, application specialists and expert robot integrators.
