On Friday, 20 August at the Box Hill Town Hall, the Whitehorse Business Group held the 2009/10 Business Awards for nominees and guests - recognising excellence in business within the City of Whitehorse and the contribution they make to the community.

Headland was invited to apply for the award. The submission required businesses to outline their key innovations and successes. Nominees were also asked to attend a Whitehorse Business Group Luncheon to talk about their company’s achievements and how they are giving back to the business community. Key drivers of Headland’s success highlighted were: long term relationships with suppliers; distribution of innovative machinery; dedicated staff, with complimentary skills; succession planning; diversified product lines and strong systems and processes.

The Award nominees and guests enjoyed entertainment from The Kylie show and witnessed inductees to the Whitehorse Hall of Fame, the Small Enterprise Award and the Large Enterprise Award, which was won by Headland.

The Whitehorse Business Awards were established by the Whitehorse Business Group in 2001 and is the premier business awards recognition program in Whitehorse.
