Robot

Gripper

The fork tine gripper is a pneumatically driven gripper with flat bar tines and pneumatic top clamps to ensure bag stability. The gripper has been designed for handling one 25kg bag at a time and to achieve cycle times of 8-15 bags per minute in conjunction with the specified robot.

The gripper can be fitted with an optional Compliance Shock Sensor (shown in photo) that will immediately shut down the robot and dissipate the force if the gripper has an unexpected collision. This option helps to prevent damage to the gripper and increases total system uptime.

Pick off Table

The pick -off station has been designed to present the bags to the robot and to work in conjunction with the specified bag gripper. The conveyor consists of a chain driven roller conveyor (approx. 1m long) to transfer the bags into the cell and a pneumatic lift to present the bags to the fork gripper.
